![]() We wouldn't hesitate to return to the Gaslight Inn on a future visit to Gettysburg, and we give it a strong 5-star rating. We also greatly enjoyed visiting the brand-new Seminary Ridge Museum, on the grounds of the Lutheran Theological Seminary. The National Park Service has opened a first class VIsitor Center and Museum. The National Battlefield Park sits right at the edge of town, which is just packed with restaurants, shops and other tourist-oriented businesses. Read the Fodor's reviews, or post your own. They loaned us a CD driving tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield that was very helpful. The staff is delightful, and quite helpful for those seeking assistance with their activities. There was always lively conversation with the other guests around the breakfast table. Breakfast was chef's choice, with service at 9AM, but they can prepare Continental Breakfast for those who wish to make an early getaway. Our bathroom included a steam bath option. We booked the Aster Room, on the third floor (lots of steps) which was quite spacious, with a delightful back porch. The B&B is a class act- the rooms are beautifully decorated and everything is meticulously maintained. The Gaslight Inn Bed and Breakfast is located near the heart of historic Gettysburg, PA., just a block off Lincoln Square. I most certainly would stay here again and again. One morning they also had a civil war re enactor come give an hour long talk and demonstration for the guests. They even accommodated people who had dietary restrictions, such as gluten free diets. The breakfast both mornings was incredible. The Gaslight Inn is on a side street VERY close to the town center, but this made all the difference in the noise level. There is a room located on the first floor for those who do not do stairs. Our room was on the third floor, which if you have difficulty with stairs would not be great, but the staff offered to help with luggage if needed. The room was awesome! I still can't believe how comfortable the bed was(the June Rose Room)! The bath was large with a very nice shower with a steam feature(which we did not use but I am sure is nice if you like that ). The staff was friendly and welcoming and gave suggestions for restaurants and tours. ![]() ![]() I don't know what specifically led me to The Gaslight Inn, but I am VERY glad it was the one I chose.
